We want you to feel completely at home while enjoying the privacy and comfort of your tropical retreat in Kochi. These simple guidelines help us keep the villa safe, peaceful and beautifully maintained for every guest.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Please share your expected arrival time in advance so we can help ensure a smooth check-in experience. Early check-in or late check-out may be accommodated subject to availability and prior confirmation.
General House Rules
- Please treat the villa, furniture, decor and amenities with care.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the villa. Please use the designated outdoor smoking area.
- Parties or events are permitted only with prior approval from the host.
- Only registered guests and approved visitors are permitted on the property.
- Please be considerate of the surrounding neighbourhood and avoid excessive noise.
- Any accidental damage or maintenance issue should be reported to the host as soon as possible.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The House of Bhakthan is located in a peaceful residential neighbourhood. Please keep music, conversations and other activities at a considerate volume during these hours. Loud music, parties or activities that may disturb the neighbourhood are not permitted during quiet hours.
Private Swimming Pool
The private swimming pool is available exclusively to staying guests between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
- Children must always be supervised by a responsible adult in and around the pool.
- Please do not run, push or engage in unsafe activities around the pool deck.
- Glassware should not be used in or around the swimming pool.
- Please do not enter the pool while under the influence of alcohol.
- Use appropriate swimwear and help us keep the pool and surrounding areas clean.
Guest Access & Restricted Areas
Guests have access to the villa's bedrooms, living spaces, dining area, kitchen, outdoor areas and private swimming pool.
- The first-floor storeroom is reserved for property operations and is not accessible to guests.
- Please do not access or climb onto the terrace.
- Extra care should be taken around balconies, stairways and poolside areas, particularly when travelling with children.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is intended for light use and small necessities. Basic utensils, cookware, refrigerator and oven are available for your convenience. Guests may also order food from outside and use the available facilities for reheating.
- Clean utensils after use and return kitchen items to their designated places.
- Avoid leaving food uncovered and dispose of food waste responsibly.
- Switch off kitchen appliances after use.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the villa. A designated outdoor smoking area is available. Please dispose of cigarette waste responsibly and never leave burning cigarettes unattended.
Pets
Pets are welcome, subject to the property's current booking policy. We request pet owners to keep pets supervised and ensure they do not damage furniture, linen or landscaping.
- Please clean up after your pet.
- Keep pets away from the swimming pool unless specifically permitted.
- Inform the host in advance when bringing a pet.
Security & Safety
- Lock doors and windows whenever you leave the villa.
- Switch off lights, air conditioning and unnecessary electrical appliances when leaving.
- Do not tamper with safety, security or property-management equipment.
- Children should always be supervised around the pool, balconies and outdoor areas.
- Inform the host immediately if you notice anything requiring attention.
Parking
Private parking is available at the property. Please park only in the designated area and ensure that entrances, neighbouring properties and access roads remain unobstructed.
Before Check-out
- Switch off lights, air conditioners and electrical appliances.
- Make sure all doors and windows are properly secured.
- Place used towels in the designated area.
- Leave used kitchenware clean or neatly arranged for housekeeping.
- Dispose of waste in the designated bins.
- Check bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas for personal belongings.
- Inform the host of any accidental damage or maintenance issue.
Caring for the House
The House of Bhakthan was created as more than just a place to stay. It brings together the relaxed tropical character of Bali with the warmth and hospitality of Kerala. We simply ask that you enjoy the house as your own while caring for it as you would your own home.
